Planters

Tait built these beautiful raised planters for our veggies. We are trying to see if shaded (on the right) yields any different results than non shaded (on the left).

Once the trees plump up this former parking lot will be a real garden retreat!

Cabbage, basil, English thyme, and a couple different lettuces.

This box has lettuce and tomatoes that were some how mixed. So we call it a salad! Cabbage is in the center. And there are 2 basil plants.

Interesting in this box, is the little "puff balls" you see growing up from the back. Those are ONIONS! We planted onions last year, (like 15 months ago) and they never did anything. Then this year they popped up growing tall greens and even flowers. However, we checked in on the onion bulb at it is still teeny-tiny. So I guess we aren't any good at growing edible onions, but they are pretty.

Here is one of my favorite views of our side yard. This is looking from the street back toward the old parking lot. I am MADLY in LOVE with the lovely 100 year old trees in our yard.
